UCSB Volleyball visits Girls Inc. for lessons on and off the court

The Gauchos gave back to their community this week at Girls Inc, in Goleta as members of the UCSB women’s volleyball team spent time with about a dozen young girls that are interested in sports.

Four players, Grace Kloss, Torre Glasker, Kobie Jimenez and Kjia Rivers along with assistant coach Matt Jones, spoke to the girls about being a student-athlete and the path they took when they were growing up to get to college. They also told the girls the challenges they have faced on and off of the court.

The Gauchos also got the girls on the volleyball court and showed them skills like bumping the ball.
