3.0-magnitude earthquake strikes near Ojai

A 3.0-magnitude earthquake was registered at 2:44 p.m. Monday about three and a half miles south of Ojai, according to U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake had a reported depth of 2.7 kilometers or 1.68 miles.

Many area residents called out newsroom to say they felt the jolt. No aftershocks were reported.
