Office of Emergency Management responds to Wednesday’s rainfall over Santa Barbara area

The Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management has released the following statement regarding Wednesday’s rainfall over portions of Santa Barbara, Montecito and Carpinteria:

“The current rainfall over Montecito and Carpinteria are below thresholds for causing debris flows. No action by the public is needed. Localized ponding of water is possible. Use caution driving. Rain rates in the #ThomasFire burn scar have remained below 0.20″/hour. Higher rates are occurring near the ocean.”
