Fire destroys cab of semi-truck at Goleta postal facility
The cab of a semi-truck at a Goleta postal facility is destroyed, and two other semi-trucks are damaged.
Santa Barbara County Fire responded to the report of a fire at the Goleta postal facility at 400 Stroke Road around 8:31 a.m.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found the cab of a semi-truck full engulfed in flames and spreading to nearby semi-trucks.
Public Information Officer Dave Zaniboni said people in the area could see a large plume of smoke coming from the facility.
Crews were able to knock down the fire and contain it to the first semi-truck.
The fire is out, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The post-office at the facility is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, according to their website.
