World Dance Zombies & Thriller Season 2018 kicks into high gear

Halloween is sneaking up fast and so is another annual tradition.

Residents from throughout our communities are already practicing for Thriller Season 2018 — a time to channel your inner zombie and creepy dance moves.

This year, organizers at the World Dance for Humanity are expecting 300 dancers to turn out for the wildly popular flash mob events.

The zombie dances happen over the two-week period leading up to the big Sunken Gardens event on October 27 at 3:00 p.m. Two other main events include Ojai on October 20 and Los Olivos on October 28.

People of all ages are invited to participate.

Practices are happening in Santa Barbara, Montecito, Ojai, Santa Ynez, and Lompoc. Click here for the schedule:

This is the 8th year the World Dance for Humanity has organized the event.

Thriller proceeds benefit the WD4H Rwanda Education Fund, which will make it possible for 170 Rwandan students to attend high school and college in 2019. Also, a portion of Thriller proceeds provide scholarships at the Westside Boys & Girls Club, so at-risk children in our community can take part in the Club’s after-school program.
