‘Raise Her Voice’ at the Lobero Theatre

14-year-old Kaitlin “Katy” Caballero joined the Morning News Friday before she performs original music Sunday, September 30th at the Lobero Theatre as part of the ‘Raise Her Voice’ Benefit Concert.

The event is presented by Girls Rock Santa Barbara– a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower girls and women through music education, creative expression, and performance.

Girls Rock Santa Barbara started in 2012 and serves 4,000 girls with afterschool programs, summer camp, and gave out $150,000 in scholarship aid in 2018.

“We have a policy of no girl left behind,” said Girls Rock Santa Barbara Board Member Deanna Caballero.

This Sunday, Katy Caballero will be joined on stage by Nina Abraham and Hadley Julca with a special performance by Sophie Rose.
