CHP investigates rollover on State Route 217 in Goleta

A driver is in the hospital after a vehicle rollover on State Route 217 in Goleta Monday night.

Santa Barbara County Fire responded to a two-vehicle accident on State Route 217 around 9:19 p.m. just east of the UC Santa Barbara campus.

When crews arrived, they found one car on its roof. That driver was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries. The other driver was reported to be uninjured.

The Hollister Ave offramp on the eastbound side of State Route 217 has been shut down until the scene can be cleared of debris.

CHP is on scene investigating this accident. A CHP officer on scene says the drivers have conflicting stories of what happened.
