Habitat Heroes honored at Habitat for Humanity appreciation celebration

Habitat Heroes volunteer countless hours to build and repair safe, decent and affordable housing for low-income families and following recent disasters they have had plenty of work to do.

Habitat for Humanity of Southern Santa Barbara County recognized their efforts during an appreciation celebration at Deckers Rotunda in Goleta on Monday.

Members of the Montecito Mavericks were among the heroes recognized.

This year’s event commemorated the response to disasters including the Thomas Fire and the Montecito Mudslides.
