UCSB Water Polo loses to UCLA, beats UC San Diego

UCSB opened its home schedule in men’s water polo with a 16-13 win over #11 UC San Diego and a 10-7 loss to second-ranked UCLA.

The 7th ranked Gauchos are now 8-2 on the season.

Under the lights against the Bruins, the Gauchos led 3-2 at the half.

However UCLA took control of the game by outscoring the Gauchos 6-1 in the third quarter.

UCSB’s Boris Jovanovic led the way against the Bruins with three goals.
