Police nab one suspect in late August Lompoc stabbing

Two weeks after a stabbing in Lompoc left a man fighting for his life, police nab their suspect while another remains at large.
Authorities now say the attack was gang-related and the suspects stole the victim’s property after stabbing him.
Lompoc police say Ruben Pacheco Jr., who was identified as a suspect in the case, was arrested in the city of Santa Barbara on Sept. 13, 2018. He was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and participation in a criminal street gang.
An underage teen whom authorities say is also responsible for the attack remains on the loose.
The stabbing occurred on Aug. 30, 2018, at about 6:30 p.m. in the 400 block of North M Street. The victim was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Police are looking for a stabbing suspect in Lompoc.
The incident happened around 6:30 Thursday evening in the 400 block of North M Street. Police said they arrived to find a man with a stab wound.
The victim was treated by the Lompoc Fire Department and AMR before being taken to Cottage Hospital.
