Ice cream shop employee injured in Atascadero robbery
Atascadero police officers are looking for a robbery suspect that struck an ice cream shop on Thursday.
At about 9:00 a.m. police responded to the Tastee Freez restaurant on the 8900 block of Montecito Avenue.
An early investigation revealed that a store employee was sprayed with an unknown chemical by the suspect. The employee was treated at the scene by Atascadero Fire Department and sent to the hospital.
The robbery suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police say.
