Santa Maria DUI checkpoint nabs 12 arrests

Police made 12 arrests at a DUI checkpoint in Santa Maria Saturday night.

Santa Maria Police conducted a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint Saturday night at 200 N Broadway between 6:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.

Here are the results:

483 Vehicles Screened 1 DUI-Alcohol suspect arrested 1 DUI-Drug impaired suspect arrested 0 Suspects arrested for illegal drugs (possession/transportation/sales) 0 Arrested on other Criminal Charges 10 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended/revoked 12 Citations issued

Santa Maria Police will be conducting another checkpoint in October.
