Montecito Union School hopes for calm year after challenging events

The first day of the new school year at Montecito Union School saw excited, eager and energetic students ready to learn.

The school faced many challenges last year from the Thomas Fire and the January 9th debris flow.

Students missed school days due to several mandatory evacuations.

MUS held many classes on several different campuses in Santa Barbara’s Hope School District and they even had some days at Santa Barbara City College.

The entire school community is hoping for a much more normal school year in 2018-’19.
