Thomas Fire survivors host block party
Ventura neighbors who lost their homes in the Thomas Fire returned to Via Cielito and Skycrest Ct. to host a mini block party in August.
The block party was also the first stop on a police caravan.
They treated officers to beverages and snacks and talked to them about their need for police patrols while they work to rebuild their Via Cielito / Nob Hill neighborhood.
The event gave fire survivors a chance to get reacquainted with neighbors they haven’t seen since the fire.
