DP Football will look to run past their opponents with a strong ground game

Large and in charge!

Dos Pueblos High School senior Angel Flores is 6’5, 345 pounds and the senior offensive lineman plans to open up holes for running backs Eric Lopez, Jayson Miranda, Udy Loza and Conner Lee all season long.

Injured most of last season during DP’s CIF title game run, Flores should be an impact player on both sides of the ball. He has already received a scholarship offer from San Jose State and says several Pac-12 teams have contacted him as well.

Last year’s defensive coordinator Doug Caines takes over at head coach for Nate Mendoza but the hard-nose physical style figures to remain a staple of Dos Pueblos football.

Caines said that the Chargers may play two quarterbacks this season in David Leon and Mason Boelter.

They will have a good target to throw to in senior Dillon Roberts who also plays strong safety.

DP will play their home games this season at San Marcos High School as the Chargers are getting a new field put in at their campus.

The Chargers open up against Foothill on Friday at 7pm at San Marcos.
