Grover Beach dispensary celebrates new recreational marijuana license

Grover Beach’s 805 Beach Breaks is celebrating their new recreational marijuana license.

It’s only been two and a half weeks since their adult-use permit has been in effect. Now anyone who is 21 and over and presents a government-issued ID can shop at 805 Beach Breaks.

Management said it’s already boosting sales, especially after new testing regulations that rolled out in July had slowed down business.

“Since becoming adult-use we probably have tripled sales,” explained general manager Daniel Fried. “We have more than enough for everybody. We have fully recovered from the supply and demand issue with the July 1st changes so we are fully stocked with all of our vendors.”

Fried said the dispensary is getting clients from as far down as Santa Barbara and from as far up as Monterey.

The dispensary was inaugurated in May 2018. 805 Beach Breaks was the first dispensary in San Luis Obispo county to open.
