Santa Maria Police search for wanted felon

Police are searching for a wanted felon who was identified by the community after leading officers in a dangerous pursuit in a stolen vehicle on Tuesday, August 7.

Santa Maria Police are searching for Manuel Frank Perez, 41, from Santa Maria, who is wanted on felony charges.

Perez is described as a Hispanic male, about 5’11, 230 lbs, with a mustache, a shaved head, and numerous tattoos.

On Tuesday, Perez led officers in a dangerous pursuit in a stolen vehicle. Officers backtracked and located a surveillance photograph of the Perez in a convenience store.

Santa Maria Police attribute the community in identifying Perez in the initial incident.

Police say Perez has a prior crimminal record.
