Suspects arrested may have sold drugs during Fiesta

Four Santa Maria residents are celebrating Fiesta behind bars for possibly selling meth during Old Spanish Days in Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Detectives from the Special Investigations Bureau along with Santa Barbara Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding in the area of E. Cota and N. Salsipuedes St around 10:45 p.m. Friday night, August 3.

Detectives found a meth pipe and hypodermic syringes on one of the passengers in the car. Authorities also found nine bundles of heroin totaling approximately 6 grams, along with three heroin loaded hypodermic syringes, 8 grams of meth, and $700 in cash believed to be related to illegal narcotic sales.

Deputies arrested the driver, 58-year old Franciso Paz of Santa Maria for transporting heroin for sales and possession of drug paraphernalia, 56-year old Debra Flores of Santa Maria for possession of meth, 42-year old Joaquin Robles of Santa Maria for possession of drug paraphernalia, and 32-year old Dolores Galindo of Santa Maria for violating her probation.

All suspects were booked into the county jail without incident.
