Sheriff’s compliance team arrest wanted suspects in Santa Maria

The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Compliance Team (CRT) with assistance from detectives arrested two wanted suspects in Santa Maria Saturday.

The CRT and detectives witnessed a wanted subject sitting in a car in the 1800 block of North Broadway in Santa Maria. They contacted the wanted subject, 30-year old Kenneth Hibrant and arrested him immediately for his outstanding warrant without incident.

Authorities also found that Hibrant’s passenger, 44-year old Stephanie Marie Lyons of Santa Maria, had a warrant out of Santa Barbara County and was also arrested.

Hibrant was on active Post Sentence Supervision with Santa Barbara County Probation, when authorities searched his vehicle and found approximately 2.7 ounces of suspected crystal meth, and other indicia consistent with narcotics sales.

Authorities also arrested Hibrant for possession of meth for the purpose of sales in addition to his warrant.

Both Hilbrant and Lyons were booked into Santa Barbara County Jail and are not eligible for bail.
