Our Lady of Guadalupe Church hosts weekend mercado

Our Lady Guadalupe Mercado isn’t on the official Old Spanish Days program but it popularity has grown thanks to word of mouth.

Thousands of people enjoyed everything a fiesta has to offer including folklorico, food and a flea market.

The food made by church members includes tamales, elotes (corn) and churros.

The fiesta fun continues on Sunday at the church on the 200 block of Nopal St. in Santa Barbara.

Volunteers set aside parking spots in front for people in need of assistance.
