SLO PG&E customers save up to 20% on bill

The Pacific Gas and Electric Company says that San Luis Obispo customers could save up to 20 percent or more on their monthly electric bill by enrolling in their CARE Program.

“PG&E is here to support our customers needing assistance,” said Senior Vice President & Chief Customer Officer Laurie Giammona. “Qualified households can take advantage of the CARE program to help them manage their energy costs and lower their monthly bill.”

The California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) Program gives income-qualified households discounts on their energy bill. PG&E says that more than 11,400 eligible households in San Luis Obispo County are not currently enrolled in the program.

The household income limit for a household of 2 to be eligible is $32,920.
