Authorities search for missing person in San Luis Obispo

Authorities in San Luis Obispo are searching for missing person, Matthew Tripp.

Police say he went missing on Wednesday, July 25, but was not reported missing until Friday, July 27.

Police say he is at-risk based on prior family history.

Tripp is described as a white male, about 5’10, 160 pounds, with a mustache. He was last seen wearing tan shorts, a dark colored t-shirt, a trucker hat.

Police say he may be driving a black GMC Sierra 4WD truck. Reports indicate that the truck may have some rear end damage. The license plate number is “7W88583”.

Tripp’s last known possible location was in rural Paso Robles, just north of Templeton. The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team was mobilized and conducted an extensive search on Saturday but was not able to locate him.
