Crews work to repave Ventura Fairgrounds parking lot following disaster mud removal
The Ventura County Fairground parking lot is getting new asphalt.
The work comes months after trucks hauled tons of mud from the Montecito mudslide to the same parking lot. A one point it looked like a mountain of mud near the entrance to the fair.
Crews are now working with a deadline. They want the parking lot ready to open in time for the annual Ventura County Fair.
The fair known for its ocean air open on Wednesday, Aug. 1.
