Pacific Flips finds new Santa Maria location after dispensary moves in

Pacific Flips Gymnastic’s doors are opening in Santa Maria after a long and nail biting process.
Earlier this week, the city of Santa Maria approved the gym’s conditional use permits to move into the industrial park off Skyway Drive.

“My heart sank during the meeting because there was a couple questions that sounded like they weren’t for it and then they were all in favor and wished us luck,” said Kelly Reed, owner of Pacific Flips Gymnastics.

This move comes after a dispensary called The Natural Healing Center bought out their original Grover Beach location.

“I had pondered back and forth for about five years since we opened like it’d be fun to open a second facility. We have a lot of kids that come from Santa Maria,” said Reed.

Kids like Kayci Cheney who say they’re excited to stay in Santa Maria.

“I’m very [excited] cause I live close by now and so we don’t have to drive all the way out to where we used to be,” Cheney said.

Reed has plans to knock down a wall as their gym will span across three units, totalling over nine thousand square feet. This will offer them more opportunities to continue to grow their business.

“This facility will be twice as big so we’re looking forward to having a big pre-school area for the pre-school gymnastics and someday hopefully have two full floors.”

The gym will be located at 2320 Thompson Way and hopes to be open by the end of the summer.
