Trump’s #Wouldnt lights up Twitter after trying to clarify Russia remarks in Helsinki

This might be the first time the word “wouldn’t” is trending on Twitter with many users using #wouldnt to create some bold, at times, hilarious responses to President Donald Trump’s attempt to clarify his Russia remarks in Helsinki.

On Tuesday, the president said to a room full of reporters that he misspoke at the Helsinki news conference after reading a transcript of the event in which he said: “I don’t see any reason why it would be Russia.” In retrospect, Trump said he meant to use the word “wouldn’t” not “would” in that sentence. Trump’s explanation did little to satisfy the thousands that took to Twitter to make their concerns and opinions known. Here are just some of the more light-hearted posts:
