Driver airlifted after rollover on Highway 166
A driver is airlifted to an area hospital after their car rolled over on Highway 166 Monday afternoon near Cuyama.
Santa Barbara County Fire responded to a car accident on Highway 166 west of Cuyama near Rock Front Ranch around 2:10 p.m.
When crews arrived they found the car rolled over about 40 feet off the road.
The driver is described as a male in his mid-50’s with major injuries. County Fire had to helicopter rescue the driver to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
No information was immediately available if the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating this cause of this incident.
