Members of Little Feat perform for Safety Harbor Kids concert

Members of Little Feat rocked the Topa Mountain Winery for a worthy cause on Friday night.

Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett and their band played a sold-out benefit show for Safety Harbor Kids.
The eleventh annual concert fundraiser will help orphans, foster kids and homeless children through education, art and mentoring.

John Williams, a former foster youth, created the program. “It is amazing, they are in group homes with about six kids, they do not have parents or family, so we go in there and teach them how to get into college, how to fill out job applications, good work habits. We teach them music, art and personal growth; honesty integrity and self respect,” said Williams.

The concert took place outdoors during a record breaking heat wave. Inside the winery guests also had a chance to taste local wines and bid on rock and roll memorabilia, art and vacation getaways.
