Grover Beach apartment fire displaces families
Fire crews from the Five Cities Fire Authority responded to a structure fire at a multi-unit apartment complex on the 400 block of 14th street.
It was reported just after 10:15 p.m. Wednesday night. Fire officials say at least two units were fully involved when fire crews arrived.
One person was taken to the hospital.
The fire was quickly knocked down. Firefighters are checking the rest of the building for additional damage.
The Red Cross has been contacted to help with people who may have been displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
At least two other fires had Five Cities Fire Authority firefighters scrambling to other locations. Reports indicate that one of the fires may have been caused by fireworks.
