Santa Barbara Vons replaced by Bristol Farms

A Santa Barbara Vons will soon be replaced by a Bristol Farms.

Representatives for the Vons at La Cumbre Plaza say the store will close this summer after 51 years.

One Vons shopper says she does not welcome the change.

“I am pretty upset about it,” said Katie Hughes. “I feel like between Smart & Final and Vons and having Whole Foods and Gelson’s, I was in a good area to get everything and now I am going to be missing the middle man and now I will only have affordable or very expensive from where I live.”

Vons is set to shut its doors on September 14.

Currently, there is no word yet when Bristol Farms will open.
