Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara reopens after mudslide renovations and repairs
After months of repairs and renovations, Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara is once again welcoming guests to its popular resort.
The grand reopening was a long time coming. The resort has been shuttered since the January 9 mudslide caused some damage to several rooms and parts of the property.
“It’s just incredible, the whole team here, we are just so excited. It’s a very emotional day. Lots of locals came out to support,” said General Manager Karen Earp.
The grounds, which have been completely restored, sustained what Earp called, “cosmetic damage.”
A few rooms also had to be restored. The tennis courts are newly installed.
During the nearly 5 month closure, the resort’s approximately 600 employees could not work.
But, they still received a paycheck.
“We are really lucky that Ty Warner is such an impressive owner and he paid us for the entire closure. That was really special. It really feels like a family and we feel cared for,” said employee Brandon Ehlert.
There are new events, entertainment and menu items being offered this summer.
