Crews knock down fire at Mattei’s Tavern in Los Olivos
Santa Barbra County fire crews are looking into the cause of a kitchen fire at Mattei’s Tavern in Los Olivos.
The fire was reported just after 8 p.m. Friday night at the restaurant located at 2350 Railway Avenue.
Firefighters found a fire burning in the wall behind the barbeque pit in the kitchen area of the restaurant.
The fire was extinguished and did not spread to another part of the building, fire officials said.
The restaurant was evacuated and was closed for the night.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
