A walk to remember was held in memory of Rebecca Riskin

Friends held a walk to remember Rebecca Riskin in Santa Barbara on Saturday.

The public memorial began with music and memories at Chase Palm Park and ended at Leadbetter Beach.

The former ballerina and owner of the Riskin Partners real estate agency died in the January 9, mudslides in Montecito.

One of her childhood friends is Hall of Fame golfer Amy Alcott who remembers playing with “Becky” when they were girls.

Alcott said she loved the outdoors and she loved to dance.

Her colleagues said she was a presence in the community and her profession.

Riskin would have turned 62-years old on May 31.

Relatives are planning another memorial in Los Angeles later this month.
