Temporary parking restrictions implemented for Deltopia weekend

The City of Goleta is implementing temporary parking restrictions for on-street parking for Deltopia weekend.

Each household will be issued two free parking permits for residents to park on the street during Deltopia. Permits were mailed out via U.S. mail on March 31. The City encourages residents to park in their garages or driveways. Only vehicles with valid permits will be able to park on the streets in the affected area. The affected area is from Hollister Avenue to the southern City limit, from Cannon Green Drive (including those cul-de-sac streets on the west side of Cannon Green Drive) to Storke Road. Refer to the map below to see if you are in the affected area.

Temporary parking restrictions will be implemented from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6 to 7:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7 and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7 to 7:00 a.m. Sunday, April 8.

Vehicles without permits will be cited and towed at the owner’s expense. Once you receive your permit, write-in the license plate number of the vehicle you plan to park on the street. Tape the permit to the inside of the driver’s side window by 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6.

No road restrictions will be placed in the affected area but law enforcement officers and tow trucks will be visible during the weekend.

Should Deltopia move to the following weekend, the restrictions will be in place from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13 to 7:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14 and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 to 7:00 a.m. Sunday, April 15.

If you have not received your parking permit, please contact the City of Goleta at (805) 961-7500.

If a vehicle is parked on your street without a permit, please call the non-emergency dispatch line at (805) 683-2724. An agent will take the information.
