9 new members inducted into the San Marcos High School Hall of Fame

Six former athletes and three coaching icons were inducted into the San Marcos Hall of Fame.

In a ceremony at Deckers in Goleta, the Royals honored their impressive athletic past.

The 2018 class include swimmer Adrienne Binder Brown, wrestler Anthony Califano, volleyball standout Jason Donnelly, golfer Michael McGinnis, volleyball and track and field star Erica Menzel-Downing and soccer player Ken Newendorp.

For the first time ever San Marcos inducted coaches.

Legendary coaches Maury Halleck (basketball), Santini “Sut” Puailoa (football) and John Stoney (football and golf) were all celebrated.
