Isla Vista business owner arrested, accused of rape and kidnapping

An Isla Vista resident, and business owner, was arrested by police accused of sexual assault and kidnapping.

UC Santa Barbara police say 45-year-old Patrick Galoustian has lived in Isla Vista for 20 years and believe he may have committed other crimes during that time.

Galoustian was taken into custody in the 900 block of Embarcadero del Norte and faces several counts of sexual assault and kidnapping. The investigation began on Dec. 18, 2017.

Police are asking anyone that has information about this ongoing investigation or other possible crimes that may have been committed by Galoustian, to call the UCSB Police Department at 805-893-3446.
