Mobile home catches fire in Ventura neighborhood

Ventura firefighters put out a fire inside a mobile home parked near a residence Thursday afternoon.

The mobile home caught fire at around 12:45 p.m. on the 1900 block of Foster Avenue.

Three engines and 15 firefighters responded to the residence and ensured that all residents were evacuated from the home. The fire was extinguished in a few short minutes.

Crews were able to contain the fire to the mobile home and limit damage to the adjacent home. The mobile home was destroyed but the home sustained only minor damage to the trim surrounding the garage door and smoke damage to the interior.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
