Blush Boutique in Buellton hosts beauty product drive for Thomas Fire victims

For Blush Boutique owner Amy Lee, having to start over in life hits close to home.

“Since I’ve experienced some of these things first hand, I want to give back and help some of the women that have lost their homes,” Lee said.

She’s now collecting items a little more special than your typical donation drive.

“Hygiene products but also in here I have cute little flip flops because more than likely they’ll be taking showers in public places and it’s a sanitation issue.. I have little soaps [and] I have some new makeup,” said Lee.

This is all in an effort to make victims of the Thomas fire, feel like their normal selves.

“It’s a little bit difficult for us sometimes to feel good about ourselves when we don’t have the right products and we don’t have clean clothing. When it’s all taken away, so abruptly, it can be demoralizing,” Lee explained.

The donation bin here will be outside her boutique from 8am-7pm for people who would like to drop off any items for women who lost everything in this massive fire.
