PGA Tour Champions wrap up Ventura County tournament

The PowerShares QQQ Championship ended in a dramatic playoff Sunday evening.

Bernhard Langer knocked down a long, downhill putt on the second playoff hole to beat playing partner Miguel Angel Jimenez. Langer’s win extends his lead in the PGA Tour Champions Schwab Cup Playoffs.

The event took over beautiful Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks for three days of Champions Tour golf. A field of 52 players competed in the second event of the tour’s playoff series.

The big winner of the weekend was local charities. Thousands of dollars were raised for Ventura County organizations during the three day event.
