Rio Mesa’s winning streak and season ends in Glendora

Glendora’s Brock Welte squeezed in Scott Ellis in the bottom of the seventh as the Tartans celebrated a 3-2 CIF division 2 second round victory over Rio Mesa.

The Spartans had won 21 straight games and finish the year 23-4.

Rio Mesa jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on RBI singles by Jacob Castro and Christian Herrera.

Glendora tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the third inning.
