Grover Beach mother faces Child Endangerment Charges
Grover Beach police are seeking the community’s help to locate the mother of three children previously placed with Child Welfare Services in a child endangerment and prowling case on April 27 involving 22-year-old Anthony Ishmael Farley.
The mother has been identified as Kathryn Louise Tatum, 26, of Grover Beach. She is facing felony child endangerment charges stemming from the April 27 incident.
Tatum is described as a White female adult 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
The San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office has issued a $250,000 arrest warrant for Tatum.
“The Grover Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Ms. Tatum so she can be held responsible for putting her children in an endangering situation,” stated the Grover Beach Police Department.
On April 27, Farley was arrested after police received reports of a man prowling in a neighborhood in the 200 block of North 6th Street. Police said they found heroin, meth, and drug paraphernalia in Farley’s possession and took him into custody. They also learned he was supposed to be watching three children ranging from one to four years old, which police found unattended at a home in the 500 block of Saratoga Avenue in Grover Beach.
