Direct Relief sending emergency supplies to flood victims
Direct Relief workers spent the day filling up orange containers with medical supplies and hygiene items.
The supplies will be delivered to areas impacted by historic flooding in Missouri and Arkansas.
Direct Relief has been in touch with a network of health centers that have requested specific items.
Damon Taugher said they are in touch with a network of centers in the United States that call when disasters occur.
People are welcome to donate to directrelief.org.
Donations may also be made to help cover the cost of a new Direct Relief location in Goleta that is under construction near the Santa Barbara airport.
