SBCC Baseball hosts weekend playoff series

The playing field at Pershing Park leaves a lot to be desired but it’s home sweet home for the Santa Barbara City College baseball team.

The Vaqueros are 15-3 at home this year as they get set to host a best-of-three Southern Cal Regional playoff series against Cypress.

SBCC is seeded sixth in this 18-team tournament while Cypress is #11.

The Vaqueros are 23-16 on the season and are making their seventh straight postseason appearance.

First pitch on Friday is 2pm. Game two is Saturday at 11am and game three will follow if necessary.
