Paso Robles bar suspended from selling alcohol

A Paso Robles bar has been prohibited from selling alcohol for 25 days after an employee was found to be illegally selling marijuana.

On Thursday, the California Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) posted a ‘Notice of Suspension’ at the Pine Street Saloon at 1234 Pine Street.

During a six week undercover investigation, an employee at the saloon sold or furnished marijuana on three separate occasions to undercover ABC agents.

That employee, Daniel French, pled no contest to selling or furnishing marijuana and was sentenced to 60 days in San Luis Obispo County Jail and three years of formal probation.

If any violations occur during the 25-day probationary period, the bar and licensee could lose their license to sell alcohol.

ABC is a department of the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency. For more information you can visit their website.
