Pismo Beach Pier fans can now own a piece of history

As the restoration efforts to the Pismo Beach Pier are underway, the public is able to purchase planks starting at $2.50 per foot and as low as $0.71, depending on the quantity purchased.

Pismo Beach City officials say they’re making the planks available to the public as a way to celebrate this milestone and to serve as a memento.

The city is also creating various limited mementos. “Some of these mementos include ‘Golden Hammers’, similar to the ones used in the ‘ground breaking’ ceremony, mounted on a piece of the historic Pismo Pier wood, Pier Plank Plaques, acrylic coasters featuring the Pismo Pier and other items of historical and sentimental interest,” said city officials in a press statement.
