Lompoc couple facing child endangerment charges
A Lompoc couple is facing child endangerment charges after police say drugs and drug paraphernalia were discovered within the reach of the couple’s 2 year-old child.
The Lompoc Police Department says officers assisted by the Santa Maria Police Department SWAT team, served a narcotics related search warrant on the couples home in the 800 block of north G Street in the City of Lompoc early Thursday morning.
Lompoc police say 28 grams of methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of cocaine, a butane honey oil lab, three replica firearms and zip gun ammunition, were found inside the couple’s home.
They say many of these items were accessible by the couple’s children. 29-year-old Christina Huffman and 27-year-old Roman Alvarez were taken into custody.
Huffman and Alvarez were charged with the following:
11351(a) H&S – Possession for sale of controlled substance 11378(a) H&S – Possession for sale methamphetamine 11378.5 H&S – Manufacturing a controlled substance 273(a) PC – Child Endangerment 33600 PC – Manufacturing zip gun
Child Welfare Services took custody of the children following the arrest.
