Fire crews respond to structure fire in Mission Canyon area
Santa Barbara County Fire investigators are looking into what caused a fire inside a single family residence’s laundry room Thursday night.
The residents inside the home on 2760 Williams Way in the Mission Canyon area were notified of the fire by smoke detectors.
Firefighters saw smoke coming from the house when they arrived on scene. No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported.
Crews were able to put out and contain the fire to the laundry room which is located in the middle of the house. However, the home did suffer from smoke damage.
The cause is unknown at this time.
