Oxnard teen arrested following string of armed robberies

An Oxnard teen is facing charges related to a series of armed robberies that occurred on Jan. 20 in the 200 block of west Pleasant Valley Road.

Oxnard police say the underage teen brandished a firearm in each of the three robbery cases they’ve been investigating. Police add that investigators found a replica firearm during a search of the teen’s home in the 300 block of Canterbury Way in the city of Oxnard.

With the help of patrol officers assigned to the area where the robberies occurred, Oxnard’s Neighborhood Policing Team identified the unnamed teen as the suspect in each of the cases.

The teen suspect is currently in custody at the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center awaiting his hearing, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
