Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams honored at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival
Actor Casey Affleck was watching the Super Bowl with his kids when he had to leave for Santa Barbara.
He said they were so into the game they hardly notice him leaving.
Despite the competition he enjoys Affleck kept his committment to attend the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday night where he and his Manchester By The Sea costar received Cinema Vanguard Awards.
Both actors are nominated for Oscars.
Affleck said film festivals like SBIFF helped spread the word about the film.
After attending about ten festivals around the world, Affleck said this one felt like home.
The film festival will honor directors on Tuesday.
