Vehicle reportedly strikes pedestrian near Santa Barbara City College

Emergency crews are on scene of vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at Loma Alta and Shoreline Drive in Santa Barbara.

The crash was occurred just before 10:30 a.m. Monday. A Toyota FJ Cruiser reportedly hit a male pedestrian with the pedestrian landing on the roadway. Witnesses however paint a different picture.

At least one witness told our news screw on scene that the pedestrian, for unknown reasons, fell in the crosswalk before any vehicle approached the intersection, and does not believe the male pedestrian was struck.

Santa Barbara City Fire crews, an ambulance, and Harbor Patrol responded to the scene and rendered medical aid to the pedestrian.

The pedestrian’s injuries are unknown at this time.
