Police release photos of suspected vehicle involved in Santa Barbara hit and run
Police in Santa Barbara are searching for the driver in a hit and run accident that occurred near the intersection of Cabrillo Boulevard and Castillo Street early Friday morning.
When officers arrived they found a male victim with multiple fractures and obvious head trauma. Sgt. Mike Brown said his injuries were consistent with being hit by a car.
The driver fled the scene and a search for the driver is underway. That person will likely face felony hit and run charges.
During the investigation officers located surveillance video of a vehicle believed to be involved that was seen traveling in the area at the time of the collision.
The vehicle of interest is described as a light colored small to mid-size sport utility vehicle. It is believed to have front-end, headlamp, and possible windshield damage.
